This a two day race, 5 heats...

There is even open Nitro Cat...There is 1/8th scale...and it was mentioned that maybe a little challenge race between nitro and FE could be arranged on Sunday afternoon.

Q-Sport Hydro and Q-Mono are excellent FE classes with a turn of speed to showcase the level of performance fast electrics have attained...

i agree it's a good step towards inclusion of FE and away from hiding in our niche little corner of the hobby...

i look forward to combined Nitro, Gas, and FE IMPBA events here in the southeast in '2006...

the IMPBA has taken notice of FE's and invited our participation and the ball is in our court...

Well we had a fantastic time, the Collingwood race site is nothing short of spectacular! A big thanks to Northern Lights for letting us race and putting on a first class event! Our Q boats were right at home on the larger nitro course. We ran the electric figure 9 start and then 4 laps. The combined event was such a sucsess we are invited back for the Aug 6th and 7th race. At this race we will have at least 4 electric classes running.

We'd like to have some of our electric friends from South of the border attend. There is camping on site. My tent this weekend was at the back of my pits. There is also hotels close by for those not inclined to Camp.

I will try to get more info up soon about the Augest race and what Classes will be run. There will be Q-Mono and Q-sport for sure. It is a 2 day race format with 3 heats on Sat and 2 heats on Sunday. Racing was finished by 2pm Sunday and we were on the road by 4pm. I will also be trying to get 1/8 Scale as a combined Gas nitro event.

The Canadian Fast Electric Nationals this year will not be run due to our loss of Humber Bay Pond in Toronto to weeds. If you can make Collingwood on Aug 6th and 7th, you will not be disapointed!!!! You can PM me for more info.
