There might be a small crowd on Friday.....(if anyone pays attention to the Regatta website!) Thought they would have corrected it by now. Site says we're racing on Friday

http://www.madisonregatta.com/2009_events.html

I also see that unlimiteds will be running heats on Saturday starting at 1:00 on the big river.

Man.....hate to miss that!

Any more local input?
The rc race was on Friday last year 08. They usually have it on Saturday. We like to get in on Friday and go down to the river to check out the boats in the pits and check out the parade at 6pm. Race rc boats Saturday. Go to the river front Sunday for the qualifer heats and the final.

Hey guys the race is on Saturday July 4th. We tried Friday last year due to the request of the regatta people. Due to the complaints and lack of attendance it is back to Saturday from now on. Lets all have fun and hope the drift stays down river this year. I am planing to get down to the river early again for the seats under the trees for the big event. Nothing like meeting the trash men for breakfast

Don.

I knew this was going to happen!! Here's a link to the regatta website schedule of events...just released:

http://www.madisonregatta.com/regatta_schedule.html

Heat racing on Saturday 1:30 till 3:00 this year.

I'll probably be withdrawing my entry

Sorry, Don't want to miss any Unlimited racing!
To all; there will be plenty of big boat racing on Sunday. Brandon I do not know who you are but please stop posting about the Madison race. You are confusing people and causing our score keeper to pull her hair out. The R/C boat race will be all day Saturday we will have the radio on to listen to the unlimited racing so no one will miss out on anything.

Now this is from me Don McKay not the club my personnel opinion you are coming to race R/C boats or your not! We have ALWAYS raced on Saturday except one year and never has anyone complained about the Saturday race. We are a small club and try to put on nice events and do not need your negative comments toward or event. It is hard enough to put on this event and try to keep everyone happy including our own. The Madison Regatta people know when we race and are in full support of the event. They have even asked us to try and figure out a way to run on the river front. But the cost and logistics would be to much. So I ask everyone that is going to race the event come and have fun and know we will put on a better show then they will have down on the river front. Every year people come out to watch us and tell us they would rather watch the R/C boats then the big boats. One thing is for sure we do not have to wait for barges and drift wood.

Thanks for the personal attack there Don!

I have said nothing negative towards you or your race, and still won't, even after those harsh words.

Conflicting schedules has never been an issue before this season. You guys always race on Saturday, it's the Unlimiteds that changed. They usually only test on Sat.

No confusion meant....just stating and referencing facts.

Have a great race

Thanks Don, If you can go ahead a arrange it Kenny and I would like some open water time on Friday. Thanks!!

Wow the drama on I W, as the boat turns. I am sorry truly sorry that you felt attacked, and if I see you some time I owe you a drink. We should meet at Mavericks bar on the hill top after the R/C race and I will buy you a beer... They have good food too
