I was not 100% sure about FE and nitro mixed together, but as you said open is open! In dirtbike speak we call it run what ya brung! (and hope you brung e'nuff!) Now I'm thinking need to see some navy guys about barrowing some nuke power from them... LOL

Yes the New Orleans racers had a class of "Run what you Brung". So you bring the badest boat you have to run. I know that one of the last races they had I won the "Run what you Brung" with about 120 boats, also won the Twin event and place third in the "Big Block Class" with the same boat. It was the red-white-blue twin that Doc had painted that is picture in my avtar. So the old saying goes is don't bring a knife to a gun fight.
