What size fuel tank is everyone using on the JAE45?

Is 10 oz. enough for heat racing?

Thanks, Mike

:D

Looking good! Way too cold around here (Huntsville) this week for any boat stuff, maybe things will warm up for the new year. If you have some time I have a build link to my JAE 45 JAE 45 Build

Paul
hi paul, had some time to kill and read your article about your build and i would like to say that was very, very, well written and thank you very much for the idea of the "garage paint both".hopefully i will get some time in the next few weeks and get this project finished.thanks again and happy new year. mikie. :D

Lookin good Martin, Are we going for a new record ?

Hey that is a GREAT suggestion on the holding the deck while the epoxy sets! Good thing as I have used up 2 rolls of blue tape already! Thanks guys for the replies, sorry I did not get back to you sooner, kind of forgot about this topic over the holidays. Been busy building, JAE 21 nitro, JAE 12FE, and currently a JAE 101. Ok the build season is now with winter I'd say.

Hey Michael, if you like my "reports" the current issue (Dec 2010) of the IMBPA Roostertail has a few of them for District 5. Makes for some good "bathroom" reading perhaps... IMPBA Newsletter Dec 2010

Finally finished mine too. I thought it would be a good to post these pics of my jae .45 on this thread.

Maybe I can meet some of you at Hobart this september.

Paul, When is the 101 going to be ready to run? We have made some sponson changes and have them at the house getting sealed and ready to paint. Doc

SOON! I'm done with the sponsons, sealed/sanded and only lack some minor sanding and then paint. The tub is about 70% complete, will do motor and stuffing tube tonight I hope. I will need at least 3-4 more days before the tub will be paint ready. What was changed on the sponsons?

My converter made the tub over 34 inches wide!

Thanks rod!

No problem....glad to do it.......... ;)

Everytime the JAE team decides to release a set of plans we will always be releasing them in PDF format for general consumption.........

David Hall draws the plans in AutoCad and then sends them to me for conversion to PDF.I then release them to Niklas Edlund at Ne-stuff blogspot.

95% of the people who request the plans have a Kinkos [or similar reprographics house] close to them for printing the plans.

Most Kinkos locations cannot read AutoCad but all can print a set of plans in PDF format and can print full size template sheets......

If you want plans in AutoCad just contact me and I will gladly forward them directly to you ..........

Zippkits offers plans in either AutoDad [DXF] or PDF format on their website..........
