IMAG0108.jpgIMAG0107.jpga few pics of my 45 that i just finished up..finished weight ready to go is 5lbs 5oz..although im not sure yet what a good weight is yet for a 45 boat, i was hoping it would come in around the 5lb mark..but being that its my first 45 i leaned towards extra strength in a few areas and it added up..i cant wait for the end of the week, its suppose to warm back up so i can get it wet ,break in my 2 engines , and start testing..i am starting with the AA45 engine and i also have a picco to play with..happy holidays guys!

Looking good! Way too cold around here (Huntsville) this week for any boat stuff, maybe things will warm up for the new year. If you have some time I have a build link to my JAE 45 JAE 45 Build

Nice build, Martin.... since the questions are rolling:

Are the booms 1/4 solid?

Whose fin is on there?... and it looks you only use 2 or 3 bolts, standard kit wood inserts in the spoon?....

Whose rudder? and whats the depth you have from tub bottom?......

Reversed strut it looks?.... Speedmaster?......

Engine mount?....

Nice looking propellor on there! what is it?.....

Hard water and 3 below.... i'm entertaining the idea, and thinking it out a little before a possible jump...

Test well, mike

Thanks terry! Mike, 5/16 solid rods , speedmaster strut , cmdi rudder, delrin motor mount. the prop is a 1655 to start.

Is that the new style 45? The changed tub and did the sponsons change also? The sponsons look like the the 91-101. Are the plans available for the new 45 JAE.

rick,

the tub is a little different, it kicks up just ahead of the tank area instead of at the back of the tank area..the sponsons are the same they just look a little different the way i built them..no changes are made to the boat that will change the performance, just the way i wanted it to look..

Looks good Martin. Mark is working on two JAE 45. Sponsons are about done and hull is about to take shape in the jig. Picco's in mine AA in Marks. I hope you can come to Huntsville in the early spring. Doc
