would anyone using the sullivan 4 oz slant tank be willing to post some pics of your setup and how your dealing with being so close to the header with the brass tubing comming from the tank ??

The flex tank fixes all issues lines route nicely

Still sizing mine up...but it looks like the Dubro S-4 may fit also.

Terry how much did you thin the rudder? We have found the wedge rudder is best and man does it turn. Small pond? I think we can run in a swimming pool tight turns and tracks straight.......

Guys I have the fuel problem solved with a new tank and it is a not as tall as the flex tank i removed so it fits nicely.It runs well now and can find the needle much better and looks promissing.

Now i have some handling questions.Whwn the boat is running on the staights it is fine and tracks well and very little pull left or right however I am in a small pond for now and when you come around and get in your own wake or waves the boat seems to want to hop sideways for lack of a better term ...it looks as though it breaks loose from the water momentarily and then sets back down or in some cases it will rock left to right on the sponsons and blow off all together.

I am using the sipkits rudder that i thinned substantially and i am using the zipkit Turn fin and hane tried it in the middle, rear and was about to try it in the forward holes but ran out of daylight.

could someone help me with setup info i would like to get the 12 raceable before i start on the 21 .

Tighten it up some?

ok are we going to do pool races next? I'm up for it.. The guys in japan do races in pools.. there a video I saw sometime back racing nitro boats in a public pool and man they put on a hell va show...have to find that video..Rod I have 8hr's or so into my build.my hubby made templates of my rigger before I started to build it..Now he wants to build one for his 78 yearold friend who had his riggers stolen last year from his van he stores his R/C stuff in.. OK Rod I did my build alittle different..instead of butting the bottom on first,I put the top on first,because the top is flat with out the tub steps. plus its alot easyer to brush epoxy around the inside top areas.. at least I know it sealed wright ,then let that dry and put the bottom on..was told by some guys that was a good idea.still kind of up in the air on motors...Got my eyes on three picco's. one is a redhead 7port. picco evo3 redhead and a trinity picco side round exaust..man what to choose alot of nitro.12 .. but im the odd ball hear..

I thinned the rudder so it looks more like the speedmaster.It whips around fine but hit a wake and sometimes it will barrel roll or what i think some people call trip .I have been getting some pm's from guys that are in the know and we think it is the fin

The fuel tank issue and leak has been resolved currently the eingine is just starting to make some power.

I am working on tightening it up now but am pretty sure the TF is MY issue.it worked great with a larger fin and rudder but i think they are overkill so now i will find something in between

Is there a rudder and turn issue with this rigger? I got alot of parts comming for it.. The turn fin is like grims turn fin that on the miss vegas..i'd put them side by side and on top of each other and way to close almost exact match..one of my friends rick reisinger made a new fin for his too... I'd had issues with simmilar turn fin on my oberto hydro.. on turn four it wants to suck my boat down on that side,acouple of times the boat sucked under water on me..

Mine isnt running yet..motor and hardwear with radio should be hear somtime next week. Rick rigger is fast..the man got more boats in his garage that you can shake you leg at...after seeing his jae.12 I wanted one too.small boat looks like alot easyer to handle too.he told me it handles like its on rails..Rick post one of your video's of your JAE.12 running,would you please..

no it was the black and blue cowl and blue sponsons is a nitro.21. had a nice cowl on it. and I got the rigger on sat and built it on moday night and part of tuesday to have it 3/4 built..Cant put my ski on it until the strut comes in the see if the flex is set at the wright length..and servos mounts unitl my radio&servos come in next week..also motor and tune pipe are on there way somtime next week too...

Na they won't Ron.. Got some that are rootting for me to race it.. still waiting on my parts to come in this week.. all epoxy work is done..cant prime and paint just yet.. need to put on the ski cant put that on until I get my strut mounted to cut flex tube.all wooden mounts are mounted up inside the rigger...
