Terry, I was thinking the same thing. When you you sell a stand that costs almost as much as the kit, I'll pass. If I had a $1,200.00 'rigger then I'd drop that much. The stands are very nice, no doubt about that but a lot of JAE owners bought their kits in the first place because they are economical.

I have to agree the stands are a bit pricey, but since I will be racing mine, I wanted something a little on the durable side ...I think they are very nicely made...but may not be for everyone... :)

There are 4 key points to the jrs stand imo. The wide stance with the legs. Weight is distributed to 5 points on the boat. The prop is guarded. And its only 55 bucks. Gotta get me one when the gasser hits the market.

Only thing better would be one in a nice hardwood.

I have been thinking of getting the gas JAE...if I do, you bet I will be buying another JRS stand for it as well! :)

Thanks All

I understand my stands are not for everyone.....

I try to keep the cost down, but I end up putting way more time into

them than expected....

I just want to give everyone another option...

I love this hobby and I enjoy designing and making them.....

Thanks Again

Joe

Joe, i hope i worded my comments not to be offensive or a slam....I have seen the stands you made for Zack and they are beautiful without a doubt.I know many people do not mind spending the funds...I have it but i also run several boats and it would get costly.

I can afford your stands but many may not be able to and these riggers are as Ron mentioned geared to the newbie or budget minded.I am running them because some friends are.

For those that buy them awesome you will not be dissapointed. For us with a lot of boats where we are looking for something other than PVC like we make for our large boats......

Zipkits is suppose to have some soon...Right JOE....

Have you ever considered a more economical line out of another material that the budget minded person could consider.

O yeah the 5th support place should not be the ski in the rear it should be on both sides of the ski but that is just my observation..

Don't beat up on me guys :D

I didn't really notice it at the show but this appears to be one of the stands under Ron Zaker Jrs. boat.

Not to worry because I do not take your comments as a slam.

I appreciate the comments since it will help make my product better.....

That is the beauty of this forum.

I have researched and come up with a composite material for my stands with a special coating applied

that has the capability to withstand High Nitro content and this material is not cheap.

I also do not have to paint them since the black color is through & through.

I have made stands on my CNC from Poplar, Oak, and Maple and though they are nice

they require a lot of finish work to look how I would want them to look for selling them.

I will contact Zach and ask him to check the rest pad at the rear of the hull, since I thought we tried to

put the load bearing surface on the hull instead of the ski.

I might have made a mistake on one of the measurements for the ski area of the stand.

Thanks for the input

Hey everyone

Just think there is a stand out there that fits your need the more stands and designs availible the merrier! I like the JRS stand and I like the other Zip stand also no bias  its just a matter of what you want to do. Enjoy ! :D

I have seen a lot of stands and JRS stands are the best. They protect the prop and keep the boat stable. The material is good stuff and will hold up to Nitro or gas. I cant see my self putting all this money into a boat and not the stand. Once you get one for your self you will never want anything else. I am a good example. I got one stand and now I want them for all of my boat. Thanks Joe Weilnau
