Fong, Stu collison was with Jeff Lutz or Lutz hit Stu....
Thanks Chuck.

See that the info I was looking for.

Too bad two top contenders taken out.

Funny you used "Fong" thats what my name was in HS

60 mono is running strong and currently holding 3 rd.one bad heat but still trucking with no scratches on her.

Stu's boat went down between bouy 2 & 3 about 30 feet out. It was one of the last heats of the day with very low light on the lake. Jeff's caller called stay on course but Jeff was already into the turn. We know the rest of the story. I had a race with Stu the next day in D hydro at about the same time of day. He blew me off at bouy one at the start when he turned and cut in front of me and himself blew off in the same place with the D hydro in the first lap. I later look for his boat while standing on the drivers stand and never could see it. After the race I went to him and Bruce and they pointed it to me but it took about three minutes before I could find it.

The main problem I could see was the colors that Stu used do not show up in that light. A natural wood with the pale green boat against a dark shadowed lake with trees in the back field casting their shadows onto the lake. Stu builds a good looking boat but I look at his twin and we did talk about the colors and he agreed. But also said that if you part it out there it will get hit at sometime.

So the morrow of this story is to use good colors that can be seen in all light.

Good re-cap Mark . There were several times when natural ,black and green boats were virtually invisible sitting low in the water with race chop bouncing around . When your pitman can't see a dead boat and you only have a thousandth of a second to react ...shiz happens .

I lost my radio in my twin and it started doing 3/4 throttle circles around bouys 1- 5 and missed Bretts new twin by an inch maybe !!!!! A dislodged battery pack from a wicked 85 mph dunk friday night had shut the switch off !!!!! Fortunately no one was hit !

Yes I was out there also dogding you. I would come down the front slow and get my timing down to run around the outside of your boat to clear you.

WHEW !!! Massive apologies to all my buddies in that heat ..! Just another heads up to check the WHOLE BOAT after a massive stuff , not just what you can see . I also discovered a loose header tank inside my main tank that was causing issues with losing plugs in my right engine after several laps had been burned on the course !

Tom after that heat where your Twin lost control, my hands were shaking so hard that i almost droped the transmitter!! i felt like i was dodging a heat seeking missle!!

Someone as me that same question of why my hands were shaking when I got the boat back on the stand after stopping the race.
