I believe that setup was Jimmy Johnson's in both pictures. He has been chasing the tunnel SAW records for a long time.

Hi, do you think these gloplugs might be cheap chinese knockoffs?

It is very hard to tell...but the biggest things to look at is the writing on the copies is etched and not stamped.
The other thing is the rings on the pin on the top are evenly spaced on the real ones. They are not on the copies.

The copies also only last 1 or 2 good runs amd change colour...the real ones last a good while :)

They both work quite well...but it is worth noting that over time, the cheap ones will cost you more money.

All of Mike Rushing's Lynx were that color. Seeing that boat brings back memories of ole Mike. We all miss that guy. It's hard to believe he has been gone for over 10 years now... That boy was the first to figure out how to get the O/S to run like they do now. His boats were so fast twenty years ago that he would almost lap the field twice in six laps.

This is a little bit too laid back (could only just turn the hydro around in the full width of Legg lake) but certainly I think a more upright unit could easily be machined up in one piece.
