Back to my original post, I did not tell Tom what he should do, everything was in the form of a question. If a question is a bad thing why is this board here at all. As far as i'm concerned Tom answered my question just fine. Everyone else who posted had an opinion also, and thats fine by me. I hope you can get past what was said in my original post and see the point I was trying to make.

DJT, so far Tom, Mike and the other moderators have let you voice yourself. If this was on another boating site, it would have been off in a New York minute! I know, I'm the Boating Moderator on another well-known site, those that go there know. I spend a lot of time in here because of the people and the openess that we have.

Tom asked a question and got 5 pages worth of responses plus more than what he asked for. In all of the time that I've been a member here, I can only remember one other posting that was locked or deleted and that one got pretty far out of hand. I myself would have closed it a lot sooner than what he did. Yes, I'm no better as I did post on that also.

I guess I will have to put in my two cents before this topic gets "locked" I do agree with DJT that there exists a need for someplace to post and/or get information about those people that we should use caution when dealing with them. Someone (aka moderator) will have to make sure that it is not just a personal attack. There should be a place where you can find out a person's credibility rating before you make a deal that could cause problems. I personally, have dealt with the person that you all are talking about,and have had no problems. Tom's locking of the other post reminds me of a lawyer that stops a witness after he gets the answer he wants,but before the witness can tell the whole truth. This is a "public" forum,because you don't have to pay to join,just fill in the blanks and you're a member. We,as members of the model boating community,deserve to know who will help us and who will will hurt us. There are two places available to us now to find these things out in other aspects of our life. They are television and newspaper. Both are privately owned,but viewed by the public. Keep up the good work with this forum.

Everything you have posted on this forum has been as you call it freedom of speech on someone elses property. Why is it that you would bash me for doing the same thing. I started this thread knowing it would most likely get locked, and that will prove my point when it happens. You mentioning freedom of speech and then telling Tom to lock the thread is ironic. But then again a lap dog always sniffs it's masters a**.

First, I didn't bash you. I gave you an example and reasoning of why Tom can lock out anything he wants.

Second, the locking the thread comment was a joke. Did you not see the smilies?

Third, you are crossing the line with the lap dog comment. I expect an apology.

Actually he did retract this in a later post. We all need to lighten up here a little, myself included. I probably should have just ignored the b.s. posts by Mr.Roostertailz/Newsted/John/Curtis and continued trying to steer that thread into resolve between Mark & any members who had "issues" with him.

I'm all for keeping each other informed as to the rip offs, splashers, & bad seeds but sometimes locking a thread is better in the long run.

Joe I was going to see if you could just let this go but obviously you can't. All I ever did was call you a "fool" for your comments on the noise issue. That was probably out of line so I am going to publicly appologize for those words. Please accept my apology. But you need to understand where all this "boy", crashing boats, and mis-speaking of my record trials has come from and ceased to end.
