Dear IMPBA Members,

As President of IMPBA, I have the duty to be responsible for our members and how our organization operates. With that in mind I have decided a change is required in how the office of Executive Secretary position is operated. This was an extremely difficult decision to make. Our need is to become more customer/member oriented, and I feel this change was necessary.

It was decided to appoint Mr. John Equi as the Executive Administrative Assistant, effective April 1 of this year. John is well qualified for this job and plans to remain the IMPBA Technical Director. His main focus will be on IMPBA daily business, and I know his attention to detail will serve us well. I believe he will be a great asset in this position of Executive Administrative Assistant. One the biggest changes will be the setting of regular office hours with some evening and weekend hours, with this change it should be easier for the membership to reach the office with questions and concerns. As I have stated at the beginning of the year all members of the IMPBA Board are responsible to the general membership, they are our customers, we owe them service and the promotion of Model boating.

The new Office contact information is :

IMPBA Attn: John Equi

P.O. Box 1951

Huntsville, AL 35807-0951

Phone 256-684-2986, or give me a call at my home number 1-256-830-0835.

Ms. Noel Scallan has been a very important part of our organization for the past 5 years. I have said before, Noel was the one that I called when I needed to know what was going on, she has been a great help in my being the kind of District Director and President that I have wanted to be for our membership. The next time you see Noel, please tell her thank you for the 5 years worth of work that a majority of us would not have done for any amount of money.

Bill Zuber

IMPBA President

I for one also have mixed feeling about this.. Noel is a great person and having a bunch of nitro breathing goofs like us watching over her shoulder was not an easy task for her. Noel, if you get this please know that i for one REALY enjoyed working with you.. Thanks for all you have done..

Now, having said this i also believe that our Pres. Mr. Bill.. :D is doing the right thing. Bill is a hard charging LEADER.. We need you Bill and thanks for all that you have done for us..

John E.. what can i say.. John is always willing step to the plate and hit the ball. He is about the best race/record trials announcer i have ever had the pleasure to have run under and his technical expertise is invaluable. Mr, Equi.. thanks for all you do..

Not sure the rest of you see it the way i do but you best hang on to your shorts as IMPBA is about to kick some butt.. the changes and growth we have going on right now is more then most can grasp. Just hop on and hang tight.. IMPBA is moving fast..

Thanks for the vote of confidence Mike. It 's nice to hear positive feed back once in a while. I hope everyone will bear with us for a little while in getting the office re-loacated and running again. I am hoping to be fully set up and going strong by the first full week of April. We still have to go down to LA to pick up all of the Office Equipment and files.

I have been most impressed with Bill and John's willingness to help in a very timely manor. Never before has someone contacted me first in order to help resolve a situation.

Can anyone tell me what will happen to my Cheque that I mailed last week to the old address?

I am going down there this weekend to race and to pick up th eunprocesssed applications along with some of the other office equipment next weekend we will pick up all of the remaining equipment. There should not be much of a delay in th eprocessing of the membership cards. If you have a question about your application please feel free to shoot me an e-mail at

[email protected]. As soon as we get the files and sort through them we will follow up to th eemial inquiries.

Bill,

How long do you think it'll be before the unprocessed is processed? I'd rather not send you another email to deal with during this change.. I'm in no hurry to get the card as I won't be heading to any races soon..

Thanks,

Mark...

You should the day I informed Noel of the change she stated she was totally caught up on the issuing of Membership cards. We will check into it when we get the files.

Allen,

Your IMPBA application and several others as well that signed up at our race 2 weeks ago were forwarded to IMPBA on Tuesday, 22 March. You should see the card in the next few weeks if not before. Both Bill and John have really kicked these cards into gear.

Guys,

Just to inform those that think the IMPBA officers are not doing their job........

I wrote the check for my IMPBA membership card on 3/23/05, and mailed it the following day. I got my card in the mail today, 4/02/05. That's eight days, with about two days on the slow boat in both directions. Not too shabby........

Thanks. Brad.
