Posting for Mike Butler:

The Delmara Model Boat Club will be hosting D12 Race #4 the weekend of September 22-23 at their club pond in Queenstown, MD. Sign up will be via www.rcracingevents.com . No matter what you run, (gas, nitro or FE) D12 has a class for you.

The race site is on Maryland eastern shore (fifteen minutes from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge). There are hotels and some great seafood restaurants close by. There are two state parks with camp grounds and camping cabins about twenty minutes away. Primitive camping (no hook ups) also allowed at the pond.

After 30 plus days in the 90's this summer, I'm ready for cool weather and great fall racing!!

Mike

you bringing the Gen. along?

am only going to run P mono and Open Mono this time.

Yes, I'll bring it. Just got a server power supply off of ebay that I will convert to a 12v power supply. that will give us an extra 47 amps. :)

www.rcracingevents.com is back up. There are a few minor issues forNitro/FE class entries that I asked Mike to correct. First he has all heats except offshore listed as 8 laps. I told him the FE boats would fry on 8 laps and asked him to limit 8 lap heats to LS27 and LSG classes. Also he has B/P-Lim Tunnel listed as B/P Tunnel. Don't want any confusion if anyone comes from outside the district. Lastly B/P-Lim hydro is missing.

:)

I will be restoring the Bardahl roundnose for the event. Like to see the driver waving as he goes by. Scale drivers.....spend some practice time at the pond so we can have some good racing! To many DNS and DNF's in the class. Prep guys! Now watch me be the one to drop an engine after saying that.

Bob, Come on down.

B/P Lim Hydro has been added to RC Racing events but it shows "Sold out". I'll let you all know when it's corrected. :)

I tested the bardahl today and it was really fast! Hey Dicky......how fast do you think it was going when it blew off the water? Broke the drivers arms clean off his body, broke the cowl, tore off the cowl holders, and the driver said he quit because I drive too fast from the shore when he is in the boat. Sure did scream the RPM!!!!! Or was that the little driver figure screaming? So, I won't be bringing it to the race. Yawl have fun in that class. I will sign up for something else. It was nice to run nitro again, but now I remember why I switched to gas. Glow plugs, needle settings, greasy mess to clean up, motor flush, etc. LOL Sent money today for gas rigger and open hydro.

Folks;

better check the prices of the hotels in the area there, by the looks of things they have not dropped in price from their

SUPPOSED summer rates.

There are a few camping cabins available at Martinak State Park. It's a little over 20 minutes from the race site. About $50 a night. Kent and I are going that route. Each cabin has a bunk and double bed with electricity and AC/Heat. Best Western in Denton is about $100 a night.
