IB3800 / IB3600 update.
Expect a 1% - 4% cell failure rate on un-tested cells. We are doing a simple test to make certain the cells are good before building packs and shipping cells. (no we are not picking out the best cells) The bad cells have an internal short that the factory is aware of but will not fix. The reason they are not fixing it is because it will reduce the voltage average of the good cells. Since 99% of these go into the R/C car matching business, they are not going to change policy.
We have been testing for some time now so don't panic if you ordered virgin cells from us. The matching process also catches bad cells.
If your ordering from E-bay and other low cost places, expect this failure rate. I went through 120 cells yesterday and found 4 bad cells.
thanks,
Steve
