Since getting my first boat up and running 2 months ago (a DPI 3.5 with k&b with a Irwin quiet pipe)

I've got 4 people to get boats with a good possible 5th.

Is there anybody who runs in the New Orleans, LA area.

I've found out that the DPI runs real light on the water since I put it belly up 3 times in the past 2 days

it takes about 2deg of neg trim and it still rides high in the stright. If I put any more neg trim it sticks too

hard in the corner. Does anybody run this hull?

Mike,

Getting new people into the hobby.. GREAT JOB! ;D

As for the boat, you'll find that most people tend to run with 0 degree trim.. When needed, add weight to the tips to control the ride attitude.

Sorry, I'm in KY and in the same boat (hehehe) as you.. Looking for others to run with...

OB Nut Racing... Anyone else in the BlueGrass area??

Sounds Like HunterMP is ready to start his own club. Next item is to join NAMBA or IMPBA and have some sanctioned races! Contact the local District director and talk to him/her regarding what you need to do to get your club racing. ;D

Nice to know that Richard G.

About building a W.O.F. I've got about 12 years design exp. in building boats using CAD.

Well the full sized versions. I've built a few aluminium mud boats and bass boats with my uncle.

How and what foam you cut and match opposit sponsons. I may try one or stick build one from scratch.

If the K&B motors would not be as hard to come by I could get a few more in to this.

The always are passing by the house to see when we are going to run them.

Mike,

I don't know if you should be posting pictures of our swamp and marsh secrets!!!! ;D

That is nice most of the flats you see in my area run outboards its not till I leave my inland (swamp) home and head to the marsh that I run into boats like you build.

I am not real sure what foam I am going to use yet. J.D.told me to get it from Lowes or Home Depot and it needs to be 2" thick.

It is going to be a slow process. I basically go to the LHS every other week and buy a piece of wood. But the inside of me wants to buy it all at one time. It works out for the best B/c if I did that I basically would never cut the grass and do all the chores that need to get done around the house and eventually end up on the outside of the house. And my wife would own 1/2 of my W.O.F.!!!! :)
