We removed duplicate signups from the member list and some members will have to sign up again.  There were many who had signed up multiple times and we cleaned that up.

Just sign up again and you will be good to go....

Oh no. I asked. Marty made it perfectly clear that I was banned because I was talking about Brian (supposedly in my opinion). And who is Brian? A PHD on 2 strokes? Whoopeee! Why doesn't he just give the plans to the perfect engine and boat to somebody so they can corner the market. LOL! Because he can't. If anybody should be banned it is the guy that can't offer you one piece of USEFUL advice. Marty................well I don't know what is up with him. The thing that gets me is that "they" or "somebody" visits this site as a guest, which listbot doesn't allow, looks at what is happening and then in a pitiful revenge bans me from the "other" group. Now that's promoting the RC boat hobby.

Yeah, & this is the same guy who, publicly on that very forum, told me to "piss off" & locked me out from responding. Then he edited Andy's post, locked him out & denied doing it with no apologies for his rude & childish behavior. That is why Andy & I decided to stop participating in that forum even after Marty unlocked us both.

I wonder how long it will be before "someone" goes crying.......

Having to snoop over here & then go crying to "daddy" is about as childish as it gets. <_<

I don't see anything wrong with guests just viewing. The majority of the "guests" aren't doing so because they belong to another forum etc. They can form an opinion of which site is better for them. The common aim of most boaters - sharing info, learning stuff and socialising with other like minded people on the internet.

At the end of it all - one website is lucky to have 1 new post in each forum each day while the other has a lot more.

I got banned from there 3 times in total, must be a record and being a Brit I'm always very polite. It seems it's their way or the highway.

I'm going to throw this out there. Some of the policies of the listbot I don't agree with, but...

I'm going to show Marty Davis some gratitude for creating a webpage dedicated to sharing some very helpful technical experience that would take many of us years to figure out, if ever. And I appreciate that. Those that have already absorbed the info provided in the archives there can't appreciate it like those who have not yet read it.

Lots of emotions here regarding the listbot for quite some time now, and RIGHTLY SO from what it seems, but I wanted to point this out to give credit where it is definitely due.

I don't personally know any of the admin guys there (I have met Marty once in person years ago, and yes, he's just as grumpy in person :lol: ), but I have read the posts there for years, since back when it really was a "listbot". I do get the impression that Brian Callahan is not the most friendly guy though, but he occasionally tries in his usually sarcastic, annoying, and condescending way to inform others, I guess . No offense intended, just some constructive criticism from a lowly, non-PhD fellow boater. So please don't ban me, OK?

Anyhow, it would be a shame to see rcboat.com go the way of the dodo due to lack of support, and I think many will agree with me. There are some brilliant minds over there that still share good information, particularly Davis and Ackerman. It's to bad that some guys take life a little to seriously, after all, this is a hobby to enjoy, and that gets forgotten sometimes.

But most of the people who get booted, it is simply for not using their full name. It is a condition of membership. Like the driver blocking your lane trying to do a U-turn where a sign says it isnt allowed, either people cant read or somehow think the rule doesnt apply to them!

Of course some people get booted for offending the wrong people...

Guess I got to give Don a little credit too. He's been getting me with my old boat. GEEZ! Gotta say that my theory of "win on the first lap" has a little to do with that. Of course if I could hit the clock I wouldn't have to do that. I have tried for years to be a smart and mature racer but I have still not learned. Racing definitely gets the best of me. Like John has always said, "you have six laps to pass him".
