I am building a .12 Hydro how much fuel is needed in ouces for each motor to Mill time, 6 laps ect? I need to have tanks built and need a close ounce estimate so I have enough fuel for racing,

Thanks Beau

better 2x 7oz= 14oz I watched hydro .12 use 6 oz at hobart but not finish ( 5 1/2 laps)

Beau,

I would go with 2-8oz. tanks for sure, you have enough room.

When you get some serious motors in it they will drink some fuel

when you put some good propellers on it. Six ounces is not enough.

I run out of fuel with my 7 oz. tank in my 12- Hydro on the cool down 7th lap

Sometimes like I did two weeks ago in Saginaw.

Thanks,

Beau,

I have not built a 8 oz tank for a 12 boat, ask around and see what a great running 12 uses, I have built 7 oz tanks but they said it was to much fuel and do not fill the tank up to save weight, and this was a great running boat. Let me know what size you have decided on and I will build them.

Thanks

I never was one to run a long mil time before the start, for me 5 oz is enough.

if 8 oz or more is needed to oval race a .12 engine appears over kill to me.

I'm use a little more water to cool motor an less fuel.

I use a 5.8 oz Walt Barney tank with the new.12-plus 3SCT. No problems. I think 2-6oz would be ample.
