how much boat for a 21 cc gas

my friend and i are going to put together a gasser for his dad. between the two of us we figure we have enough extra parts to build a decent enough boat to let him play too. this dude is dead set on having a weedeater motor so he got us a 21cc mc cullond (sp?) and we've got it stripped down to just the motor. we've already got some mounting brackets put together and it looks to be a very good fit at 5 inches for the stringers. we just don't know how much of a boat to look for. whats the size range for a deep vee and a 21cc weed eater?

a aeromaine 48" challenger deep vee hull would be a good start. one major benifit is that it's a great platform to start with and then later on when you want to go faster you can put a mod g26 to really get it going. in my humble opion put it together in a way that when you want to put a mod motor all you need to change is the motor,all the othe componts will be already race ready. it comes with the rails installed and they offer great support.

so right around 50 inch would be a good size for a cruiser but still have room for improvement?
