Well the end of the year is approaching and Ive run out of my high nitro fuel and am finding that the Mac doesnt like the 25% that the kid runs but before I go buy a new gallon of fuel my question would be that will it be good next year?If it is able to keep what steps do I need to take?I can only buy gallons locally and our last race is tomorrow but the pond wont freeze till Dec and the new rigger I just put together is needing some running. Thanks

As long as you keep it sealed well you will be fine until next season. Just keep it stored in a cool dry place & avoid high temps or freezing. B)

Keep it off a cement floor and out of sunlight too. A friend of mine kept his out on a sun porch and his went bad in a very short time.

If your bottle has been used from, squeeze as much air out of it as you can then put the lid on.

Are you guys saying that there is no shelf life on new, unopened gallons of fuel? As long as they are stored properly (cool, dry shaded area)?

Thanks, David

If it is sealed then it will never go bad. I don't know about the UV effects.

If it has castor oil mixed with it, about one year, if it has full synthetic mixed in, undefinately. Keep in cool place out of sun, not on concret floor.

Yup, Bill is correct about the castor. Forgot that but since I don't & won't use castor anymore I don't think about it. B)

I was refering to pure nitro, no additives. The syn oil should be fine. Methanol is the only thing that "goes bad".
