How fast can i go with my Shockwave 55?

I have a new Shockwave 55 from Probaot, and I want to go fast +55 MPH, but I want to know What Do I do to upgrade my boat? I know, that It can go +47 MPH from the hobbystore.

Could you help me?

Not really familar with your exact model but other ones similar to yours usually are lucky to reach speeds of maybe 40mph however if you have the engine modified by one of the guys that do that like Carlo of CC racing and get a good tuned pipe for it and then also get an after market prop I'm sure you should be able to get pretty close to your goal of 55mph. YOu might check on Jim's Boat dock forum since they deal with almost exclusively gasoline powered boats .

You've already got the Zen so ship it out to someone like Carlo for some modding. Get rid of the clutch as it's junk anyway then the water pump. Add a good exhaust system to it then top it off with a hot prop that's been sharpened and balanced. If you have the double rudder version, remove the left one for less drag. Upgrade the rudder linkage while you're there.

I'm just starting to work with gas boat props now just after getting used to nitro boat props. I just picked up a Grimracer prop today to try out that's close to an Octura X-667 or 6716 for some others. It's made for the Rio 51 but was just curious as to how it'll work on my mono with a little more oomph.

As far as what pipe will fit in there I couldn't tell you. Seeing how it's a Zen in there you could ship it off to a good modder to have it tweaked on.
