Not sure if they would do it tho.. this could take some coin out of their pocket's

It would be Fantastic tho////

I brought a 35mm to give it a run over this weekend..

Then i will order one from ozspec.. 65Bucks for a new prop, cut back and cupped..

I think this will fix my problems

Guys,

I have thought about doing a video on a CD so you could reference back and forth.

I am not sure if there would be much of a demand for one. What Do You Think?

Would $25.00 be too much for some great information on: tools, wheels, equipment,

Pitch gauge basics, abrasives, balancers, finishing treatments, etc.?

I Would Appreciate The Feedback,

Mark Sholund

hey mark,

depending on content..i may be interested...

your description sounds like you would review equipment you use (tools, wheels, gauge etc) and materials (finishing treatment)...do i understand this rite?

thanx for the clarification..

Len

(I would like to learn how to stop screwing up my props, I've done some good props...but i have messed up a few as well) ;)

I would be up for that Mark.

It would be great to do as suggested and get an overview on the tools also

Fingers crossed you do one..

Definate "yes" from me Mark, as I purchased a new woods pitch guage, just not 100% sure how to make the most use of it. Would be great to know the where and how to put a little more pitch or cup into the prop while out at the pond testing without having to send the prop back and forth to a prop specialist.

Count me in if you decide to make a video.

Thanks,

Elias

Chris,

You will need some pliers and a pitch gauge to measure your cup.

Just bend the propeller trailing edge flatter at .7 radi and remeasure.

The X-440's will need to be reduced and then reduce the cup on the trailing edge

also. You should get a better pipe so you have more propeller choices. :D

Have Fun,

Hi Mark.. You said "You should get a better pipe so you have more propeller choices. :D "

I also have an o.s 15 here ...What pipe would you suggest???

I need a better one to get more power!!!

Chris,

We have tested quite a few actually and we keep coming back to an old SPP carbon nitro pipe

that was for cars I believe. MAC pipes work very well or one of Glenn's if you are able to

buy one. $65.00 for an Octura propeller? What is your exchange to the dollar now?

Enjoy Your Testing,

Mark Sholund

Hi Mark

I have been recommended for a octura 1440 propeller with approx 3in cup. for 65 it includes, recup, cut down diameter and balanced and sharpened.

exchange rate is about 98c i believe.

Just about to go give it a run with a 35mm just to get it on the water..

Chris,

The 40 x 53 works just as well backcut and reduced cup also.

The Y-536 pitched up to 3.46" works very well just balanced

and sharpened. If you go with the 1440 B/C stay under 38 mm

for diameter and no higher than 3.21" of cup.

Good Luck Testing,

Mark Sholund

Hi Mark

I think it is best to let the experts guide me in the rite direction.. 30 bucks is cheap.. any ideas what the post would cost me?? oh and i have 2x 440's and a 438 that i would like to have modded.. perhaps you could do one 440 for a buggy engine and another for a top.12 nova (i plan to buy this shortly.. want to stop fking around and get the boat going to a reliable stage/ Pls quote me a price to modd 2x 440's (at what you think is rite) and a 438....

Thanks Mark

Chris,

Try a Y-536 @3.33" or 3.46" and it should work well.

If you send me your 440 and 438 I will fix them both for $30.00.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

I would definitely be interested in a DVD on the black art of prop work from the master.

I think the FE and gas guys on some of the other sites would be pretty keen for it as well.

I've been looking at Chris's prop anvil's but kind of leery about not knowing how to use it.

You two should team up and make it a package deal.
