I was bummed as Mike Grim offered to make me up a new cowl but as I looked closer to all the Gallery photos I noticed a major difference in everyone elses P-P hull, there's weren't built w/a 3 part cowl like mine.
First, I have a nose piece built on the top that goes over the fuel tank area, second, the cowl is about 3/4 the length of the boat and Lastly the Tail wings were built in permanetly.
I could gut everything but that's a major project I'm not up for. I do however don't like the fact that the guy who painted it didn't seal the wood or even use a primer. The paint went right over the bare wood.
If I deciede to make changes it means stripping the paint down to the wood. What I don't want is sand paper staining paint into the wood. Are there any Jasco paint strippers made for delicate woods? I know they make them for everyday house hold wood.....any thoughts the best way to get all the paint and decals off to get back to bare wood the easiest??
