Does anyone know if there is a spray can high build primer that will work with House of Kolor paint? Thanks

I would have told you SEM high build this time last year but I had issues last spring with this product. I had a couple cans in a row begin to spray some sort of crud on to my surface. This seems to be some sort of quality control issue as others have experienced the same lately. I’d definitely try the Eastwood, as pricey as it seems. It’s hard to take when you have to sand off the primer after all the prep.

Dont you have a nice spray gun? That is always cheaper than the cans. plus the 2k will always be leagues better than lacquer primer that SEM seems to sell.

I primered before I got the gun. Plus, my living situation was in a condo last year. Now I’m in a house on 4 acres, etc… so the gun painting just got easier. But I’d still consider the Eastwood. It is just easier. I’m learning a good automotive primer is the way to go. I’ve gone down the Rustoleum and SprayMax route, and I’ve had some issues with adhesion long term. The Spraymax seems to want to flake off in some cases. And the Rustoleum primer just melts when you try to put spot filler on it.
