Yeah - we have them Don - but not everyone uses them.

The pics are from our local pond which has river stone's around the waters edge (supposedly for wave suppression) as our site was purpose built for rowing regatta's. We dumped a few tonnes of fine gravel in the launch area to make it easier to walk on, but the water level changes a lot throughout the year and if the level drops far enough the big stones are exposed at the water's edge. When this happens we put some old carpet down in the launch area to cover them.

The reason I posted the pics was there is a thread on the AMPBA forum about whether "gumboots" are needed or not. Personally - I wear them. Launching twins or Greg's big 1/4 scale tunnel is too hard to do properly from the shore......

No Croc's in Sydney! :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
Nah in Australia we only have seven of the most dangerous snakes,

The funnel web spider and box jelly fish and this is only in one state :huh: :huh:
