Yeah, I talked with the owner a few weeks ago and it looks like it could still work out. I just need to pick a time and get the sanction for a record trial.

Other good news...we FINALLY got a pond here in town a few days ago! It is not going to be good for SAW, but it will be really good for ovals. If any of you can make it down to run with us let me know and I'll make sure I'm around.

Where in Texas are you guys? Where's the new pond? We're just outside of Houston in Katy, and are building a pond that'll be good for SAWs or oval. Won't be finished till the end of the year. Love to meet up with you all some time.

Hey guys, I live in a little town just outside San Antonio (La Vernia) and our new pond is in Universal City. It is a good practice pond and will make a really good oval record trial pond, but it is kinda small for big heat races. That is really good news about a pond in Katy...my wife is from there and we visit every couple of months! I would love to get together and run with you guys some.

I was born and raised in San Antonio. Me and my father where members of the San Antonio Model boat club from YEARS ago!!! After we lost the pond over at 1604 and I10 the club soon went down for the count. We started running up in Round Rock with those Guys. Now I live up here in Ft. Worth and still running strong. I don't know how long you have been running boats? Did you know a Tom Shackelford or his young son William "Buckshot" Shackelford. That would be me. B) You guys should try to make it up to Ft. Worth in 3 weeks to our race. It should be a blast! Are you guys hooked up with Buford Tanahill? That guy is a very good friend from way back!
