Herzog Boat Rack Mounts

Had some time and wanted to make better use of my racks in the trailer and shop. Designed and printed these mounts for the shop.

I used double sided tape to tack the mounts into position before screwing into 2x4

These are cool! How do you keep the rack from coming off of them while traveling?

I designed these for the shop wall so I could quickly pull racks from trailer easily. In the trailer I use ENT conduit... I don't know enough about the different materials and their properties to trust them in a dynamic environment.

PLA's will continue to absorb water (hence they need not be recycled) and just for instance. A PLA printed object submerged in water will start to fall apart in as little as 5-7 days. They become brittle and break. I suspect you have see this on a older spool.

The design looks sturdy and well done.. if its PLA.. consider making them out of ABS.
