Help with starter

Diane Wilson gave me Jim's starter while we were in Fremont for the memorial service. We looked all over the place for the charger and were not able to locate it. Jim had a lot of model boating stuff.

Can anyone provide me with contact info regarding Finer Edge so I could check into getting a charger?

They used cordless drill batteries. You have to see what the drill battery is usually marked on them and just get a charger for it.

Makita LXT 18 volt Lithium batteries was the old info I had on them that they used.

Jerry take the battery off the holder and look at the MFG tag on the battery that should give you the details and what charger to buy.

Just went on-line to check price of a Makita 18V charger. Wow!! They really think highly of that product. I think I'll try to run off a picture of the charger and send it down to Diane sometime next week. She's been attempting to dispose of some of Jim's hobby items and maybe she'll recognize the charger.

Jerry, I've moved to the Boris starter and I think I have a spare Makita in my trailer but I'm snowed in. I just can't walk in the stuff too well. Don't buy one. Let me have a little chinook and let me look.

Thanks Mark. I got a Boris starter last year and it really works great. I was planning to "gift" the Finer Edge" to one of the guys in our boat club.
