Help needed with coupling!!!

Hi!

I am looking for a new flex coupling (see picture). I always thought it is a Octura part. So I wanted to order one from Prestwich....but they told me that Octura does not produce couplings with a 1/4 - 28 thread for 3,2mm flex-shafts.

So who is the manufacturer of my coupling and where can I order them? Or who else manufactures couplings with a 1/4 - 28 thread for 3,2mm flex-shafts???

Looks an Octura coupling yours.Try Aeromarine but I guess they do not make couplers for this size shafts only 3/16 and 1/4 cables.

It looks like an Octura cable collet. I have one and that's for .150 cable with 1/4-28 (UNF) thread. I am not sure if they made one for 3.2mm. However, if you can find one for .150 cable, you can solder a 1" length of K&S brass tube to fit into the coupling.

Octura does make a 1/4-28 coupler for a .130 cable. That might work for a 3.2mm cable which is .126".

You can call Octura at (847) 674 7351, Very nice people! They don't take credit cards so I usually have them ship COD. The part number you are looking for is OCFH1413. The latest price I have is 8.95 US dollars.
