Any of guys work in health Insurance. I was told to wait to get health insurance until next year when the Affordable Health Care Act kicks in, but I was told Health Insurance is gonna sky rocket. So what should I do. I need to see a foot doctor pronto!!

Get it now..if you have health insurance you can always change it with "no preexisting conditions" as long as you have no lapse in any coverage. You can use COBRA as a go between (you pay the cost of it yourself) to avoid any lapse if you have to. I worked in insurance dept. for 7 years. jj

yeh, cobra, dont even want to think about it. my wifes is over $1100 per month.

our insurance before the red/whte/blue card was $600 month thru work.

with my a b d plan and her insurance we are now over $1400 month .OUCH!!

plus we have dr visits and meds on top of that.

Samuel, Get the foot fixed now. I kept the Blue Cross / Blue Shield Std. option when I retired and they take about $89-$90 bucks out of my retirement check- covers about 80% on most things. When you start checking around make sure you understand what every plan covers. My plan does not cover Dental or vision care but they did pay for around 70% of the cataract surgery I needed after I retired.

Samuel, I kept the Std. option Blue Cross/Blue shield when I retired- covers about 80% of everything but no dental plan. 89-90 bucks out of my retirement check every month.

Our medical costs are so high now with medicare and AARP. My wife is paying over $1000.00 a month for drugs the program will not pay. If the costs go up another 20 to 30% in October we plan to drop all insurance and go to jail. there will be no money left after paying for insurance from my SS. At least we will have food and a bed to sleep in! Walt

I'm not on Medicare yet (another 1.5 years), but I had to drop my Anthem major medical at the beginning of the year when the premiums reached $1590 per month. With the high deductibles I could not afford to use the insurance! I'm now part of a health plan (not insurance) and hoping I can stay reasonably healthy for a while.

Soooo This new Government healthcare plan wants everyone to have insurance just go broke paying for it?
You got it!! The only "affordable" part is for the FREELOADERS that OBummer wants covered. The "insurance" is that these freeloaders will keep voting for the *********s who rammed this down the taxpayers throats. This is only the tip of the iceberg...........

Wait till the so called freeloaders find out Obozo will be charging them for insurance, i am glad i got insurance through who i work for and i am retired and work part time at Lowes Robert

I'm retired and have Medicare along with a supplement part c . Most of my Mediare is paid by my insurance co, and I make no insurance plan payments. All my meds are covered and I have low copays for specialists. I'm also in a special needs program because I'm diabetic along with chf and copd/empysema. All my drugs are tier 1 and not name brand, all generic. I pay 3-4 dollars a month for Medicare. Guess I'm pretty lucky. Guys you have to look around and get a good supplemental insurance plan to go with your Medicare if your on it.

Go to the emergency room. They should be able to take care of you and set up a payment plan.

I called the specialist and setup a appointment. Im gonna pay for it out of my pocket. i have to pay a 150 deposit because i have no insurance. I'm gonna call Anthem next month. Apparently a lot of the O'bhama care stuff has been delayed to 2015.

Samuel,

when you go to the doctors be sure to dicker on the price as they will come down, I know from doing it I saved about 25% when I had to pay.

The lady said if it cost less then the 150 deposit which it probably will, they would give me some money back.
