Sounds like a good result in the end! Time to test some pipes on that beast Marty-san, and see what really turns it on!

I'm running a NR .21 Nitro Pipe with a rumracer silencer on it now. It seems to work good. I'm at 4 inches from the center of the plug to the weld. I can probably shorten it up even yet with out pulling my plugs apart. I will play with it the next time I get it on the water. I would like to get my hands on a Square Wave pipe or a Parabolic CF pipe sometime in the near future.

I'm not familiar with that particular pipe, but going by the pics of the pipe and your 4" measurement, it seems quite long to me. Definately worth trying it shorter! I use curved silicone couplers and cut the header close to the bend.

A carbon pipe is the way to go.

Glad it is working good with lower timing numbers.
