Have no worries as we are buds. We can trash talk all we can & want but the respect is always there. We all have a good time with each other and each one of us knows that every dog has it's day. We all have spent time on the top and bottom of the heap.

What classes are you going to offer on the September 25th race?  I can visit my grandaughter in Holly Springs, NC and race too.

Hi Bill,

From what I've seen the Prop Twisters are mostly a Gas Club with a few Nitro Riggers thrown in and then theres oddball me running Nitro Monos. I'll show up anywhere, anytime and race anybody. :p
Yup, seems to be mostly gas. I feel a little out of place with a B tunnel. I've also gone over to the dark side, I just removed a .45 engine from a mono and am in the middle of changing it over to gas. I thought about leaving it alone, but the hull is really too big for a .45, so it was really slow. Now I'm trying to decide what to do with the .45. I was thinking of building a sport 40 hydro, but I ran the idea past Mike Byer and he suggested that a suitably sized cat would give me more racing opportunities. I'm also considering building a B mono or a sport 20 hydro. I recently bought plans for the Wild Thing and a .20 size hydro.

John the Blackjack is real good right now, you might even be able to take it home with you if you like.

Don, if you have room and want to build and sell some more of the launch tables, bring the fixtures along and I'll do the aluminum work for them.

I need to break in new piston/sleeve this weekend so it will be ready.
WHAT! All I heard was how good Andy had it running and now it needs a new P/S. I can hear it now, "Well the P/S is still new and I didn't want to lean it down".
After Andy saw it run in Atlanta he said he wanted to take it back to CMD when he left. It now has new front sponson bottoms & rears,
Sounds like CMD owes me a refund since I bought a jacked-up boat.

Ummm, wasn't this an 80% kit you got?

Ouch, that's looking bad. Fortunately, it's a long way aways and we all know how accurate long term forecasts are around here. :)

Hopefully as the week comes, things will clear out!! (thinking positive!!!) :D

Anyways, does anybody have the final class listing of how many boats are running in each class.

Happy Boating...

Mike

Absolutely! I will be happy to take fault for any wrong doing with the winglets and rear sponsons. BUT!.........I didn't know I was supposed to rebuild the sponson bottoms or the center rear. That was nowhere in the instructions.

Hey P, nobody's saying the sponsons were wrong. The idea was to start fresh since to the eye it all looked good & it had us really scratching our heads in Atlanta, especially when we put the motor in John's boat & it ran fine. The rear winglets were the last thing done & that seemed to wake it up. No big deal buddy! :)

Only 2? :( Mixed feelings on this. On the one hand I would like more, but on the other, I'll be able to say I got second place. I'll just avoid saying there were only 2. :)

Not sure who the other person is, but I suspect he'll have to mess up real bad to lose to me and my slow boat. Anyone know what's the maximum nitro I can run in my stock K&B? I don't want to burn the engine out, but I think I'm going to need every bit of (legal) help I can get.

You can go to 70% or higher but I would not recommend it. I ran 50% in my tunnel when I had it. We did some tests in our club this spring and saw little benefit or results over 50%. The needle is harder to find and is more sensitive to weather changes over 50%. Potentially small increase in speed with an ever increasing aggravitation factor.

Yup, sure does. I'm glad I'm not entered in that one, maybe I'll be able to film it.
