I suppose the full size vs scale ratio is the issue? Or something else?I/8th scale wouldn't work if you wanted to race in the scale class, but they would be very cool Sport 40's
I understand now, thanks for the clarification. The GP’s have to be a minimum of 21’ and maximum of 26’ long and 12.5’ wide. They are smaller than the unlimiteds. So 1/8 scale would be between 32” and 39” long. Split that down the middle and you’re right around 36” long and 16-18 or so wide. So essentially, sport 40’s ARE 1/8 scale when modeling 7 liter style hulls. If you were modeling an unlimited for sport 40 specs, it would be more like 1/10 scale.
1/8th or 1/6th scale classes are based upon unlimited hydroplanes and the GP class would be a limited class.I suppose the full size vs scale ratio is the issue? Or something else?
Bert,Mark Anderson,
Where can someone get in touch with Jason Pomerlou. I'm looking for a 34" GP Hull for Sport 20 class.
Regards,
I tried to look him up with no success. Any ideas?Jason Pomerlou will laser cut a gp kit in any size that you want. Really nice kits,
