It's a lot different kind of job for sure.. Global travel trying to implement modular manufacturing processes... oh man,.. I wonder if I can actually do that!!!! My mouth may have written a check my butt can't cover,.. so to speak!

yep,.. another relocation package.,, I won't get hosed on my house this time though... lost 20k on the last corporate move

I don't know guys,.. I'm going to look into that security factor during the negotiation section. My kids will be crushed,,, they love it here... but they love to eat too.

Tennessee is nice. I moved here from CA and the people are great, the scenery is beautiful and there is a lot to do for kids. I lived in what some would consider one of the nicest areas in CA, but i have no desire to go back. Too expensive, too many people and crapy government. The kids will be fine.

Life is a funny thing...first happy because I won't be unemployed... next thing,.. sick from thinking about selling a house again,.. the appraisals, inspections, the relo company... new schools again,.. more business travel,.. don't take me wrong... I'll take it all over being unemployed... wife looking for another job...

If I loose money on a house again... I'm done...

Man,.. riding the roller coaster... now I'm still waiting on this offer from Elux, have a phone interview tonight, and another one at 12 tomorrow. Both of those calls are for local jobs outside of Elux.....

I really don't like roller coasters....

Well it's a done deal. I'll be moving to Nashville in the summer. Accepted the offer today after some tough negotiations. 1 year in Charlotte... I've enjoyed it!!! on to the next adventure... (getting too old for this crap)

Tony,

Glad to hear you are going back to work.

Today there is no job security.

Take Care,

Mark Sholund

Nashville is a great place, TN is great. Grew up there, in Gallatin 12 miles North of Nashville. Worked in Nashville 5 years Will retire there from the Army this year. Hunting, fishing, outdoor sports, water sports itis all there. Moderate seasons, friendly people, low cost of living, AND NO PERSONAL PRORERTY TAXES OR INCOME TAXES!!!!! A straight 9.8 percenton sales tax, everybody pays there fair share. No proterty tax on cars, boats, etc. No registration required for cargo trailers and bass boat trailers. Low tax rates on your home to. You can still by land there for $1000 an acre. I can buy 100 contiguos acres right now for $200K if I wanted. Out in the county you can buy 3 bedroom brick homes on 3 acres for $90K. No RC boat clun in or around Nashville any more. Was one in Nashville 10 years ago but long gone. Like the guys said, North West to IN, East to Knoxville, or South to AL or GA. My goal when I retire is to acquire more land with a lake/pond and get it going in the area. James Beasley
