Nashville is a great place, TN is great. Grew up there, in Gallatin 12 miles North of Nashville. Worked in Nashville 5 years Will retire there from the Army this year. Hunting, fishing, outdoor sports, water sports itis all there. Moderate seasons, friendly people, low cost of living, AND NO PERSONAL PRORERTY TAXES OR INCOME TAXES!!!!! A straight 9.8 percenton sales tax, everybody pays there fair share. No proterty tax on cars, boats, etc. No registration required for cargo trailers and bass boat trailers. Low tax rates on your home to. You can still by land there for $1000 an acre. I can buy 100 contiguos acres right now for $200K if I wanted. Out in the county you can buy 3 bedroom brick homes on 3 acres for $90K. No RC boat clun in or around Nashville any more. Was one in Nashville 10 years ago but long gone. Like the guys said, North West to IN, East to Knoxville, or South to AL or GA. My goal when I retire is to acquire more land with a lake/pond and get it going in tNe area. James Beasley
