It is possible to remove the hard case from some brands of Lipos..... other brands it is very difficult or impossible to remove the case without trashing the cells. Some hard case assemblers use double back tape to hold the cells to the top an bottom of the case halves, some use adhesives (Goop kinda stuff), while others don't use anything. There's only one way to find out and that is to try prying the case apart. The plastic on some hard cases is thin enough so that it can be peeled after scoring it with a knife, the tough part is getting an edge started.
