gas tunnel transom size

I inherited a gas tunnel that was scratch built and not finished what size should the transom be I mainly worried about heights thank you in advance mark

The transom on mine is 3"h x 5"w It's 1/4" hardwood sandwiched between 1/8" carbon plate

Would you have a picture of it with your motor mounted on it I was wondering how much room you had from side to side with it being centered extra thank you

There is 1 1/2" of space on both sides of the Wendell Barrow bracket
