Good luck with your $200.00 boat guys. I noticed Donald was new and wanted him to be aware of a potential nightmare. Say what you want, but you get what you pay for. Trust me... Mike didn't have much luck with his own stuff, let alone selling it to the general public. Just ask anyone in District 1 or 2.

Part of Mike's problems was his business practices. He called me up and wanted me to build him some turnfins for the boats he was producing. I said I could do it and would like him to send me a template of what he wanted for his boat. It was a rush job. So I order up materials/tooling to do what we talked about. He never did send the template. I called him a week or so later and he said he would email it to me. When it showed up it was about 4" long. What ever he did to send it, had shrunk the pic. So called him back up and asked him to send one out again. A few weeks go by and nothing. He was in a big rush to get it done in 2 weeks but could not get me the template after a month and half. So I took it as a learning experience and moved on. A few months later all the trouble on Jim's started. I considered myself lucky and will be able to use the materials in other ways.

I'm one of the somewhat lucky ones that has gotten what I ordered from him. I first bought some carbon fiber sheet and angle from him. The sheet showed up but no angle so I got a note from him that his son forgot to ship it. Funny thing is that I know he has a daughter but no son.

The second time was getting one of the Pro Cat Cat's, the Drag Cat copies. There were only 6 laid up that I know of and know pretty much where the rest are. At $269.00 it wasn't worth that either as the gel-coating was awful as was the 'glas lay-up. No carbon fiber in the hull as he said there would be. It took a lot of work to get it whipped into shape and now that it's done and seen water, I might just sell it. The only reason there is because I already had one gas Cat already.

I am thinking of a gas rigger build and am planing on building it my self. What options are there for plans.

Would ask on the dock but you know how that would turn out.

David
the JAP 21 or 21 plans can be modified to build a gas rigger major cost is the material and your time. Plan your work then work your plan

I have looked at the 21 plans can this be scaled up when you have it printed out. If so what scale should it be printed at. Built a Kep's rigger from the plans so I am familiar with getting them printed out.
