4s with flex shaft set up. What is the gap (if any) between thrust bearing (3 piece) and motor end bell? thx
ok great thank you very much.You want the ball thrust bearing to carry all the load, so no space. Be sure it's not just pushing on the motor bearing. It may need a washer between the thrust bearing and the case so the case carries all the load. Otherwise the thrust can push the bearing back, loading the rear bearing and pushing out the end bell. Motors with substantial screws holding in the rear end bell don't need thrust bearings. The motor bearings can carry the trust load. The problem is the rear end bell.
