Had the 3PV for years. Great low cost high feature radio with telematics if you don't care about all the advanced bells and whistles.
Just recently switched to the 4PM which has the servo speed feature unlike the 3PV. Seems to make the boats drive a little smoother but that feature is more of a personal preference luxury than a necessary need.

Just my $.02...

A friend of mine had a 3pv and with 1 or 2 boats it was ok to program, However I had 5 plus boats and decided to buy the 4PM radio. When I showed my friend the 4PM radio, He purchased one also. I am not computer savvy and for me the 4PM was easier to use (IE Program) with the number of boats I have.

Till now I have a 4PLS for 6 years, you guys think to replace it.
Still works perfect.
What you guys think

I decided that it was time for a different radio, when Futaba stopped making receivers for the 3PMX 2.4 Fast system that I was using. Futaba is making receiver for your 4PLS system, so I would say you are good to go. The 4PM would be a good option if you start having problems.

I have a 4 pm not fully sold on it have 5 boats on it.Had several issues first probably my fault the battery I didn’t change setting when I used a life battery lost a few boats that I programmed.Had range issue this summer cause of how we were running. Then the price of receivers is so expensive and probably should have bought the 334sb instead of 304sb.Then it doesn’t support a gps which is another expensive purchase.Seriously thinking on a differant. System.I use to run Airtronics m8 loved the radio until the display started missing parts on it.I have a fun boat with a cheap fly sky it has telemetry for the same price as one receiver so far been a great radio the receivers are 20 bucks. For the same money as a 4 pm there’s better radios with more features and range plus receivers are not redickulas priced.

Bruce brings out a good point..

The radios of today are not like the radios of years past..

We had AAs or a NICAD pack.. we charged that pack or changed AAs. We had a RF or Battery meter on the front.. toss in some servo reversing and "bob is your uncle".

Not so much today.. radio systems are and can be complicated.. LOTS or programing choices and the clock keeps ticking.

READ THE MAUNAL, ASK QUESTIONS.. IF' you want more video content to help in areas of confusion, I will provide..

I do talk about the 4PM and "SYSTEM" menu in this video.

Hey Richard, Hope you are doing well.
Lots of options out there, but personally I would buy as much radio as your budget will allow. Do I need all the functionality of my Futaba 7-PXR or 16-IZ? Nope, but they sure are nice! So let me help you spend your money; treat yourself to a nice Christmas Gift and get that Futaba 10-PX!

Thank You Will
Have mounted but not run the 91 yet. If I buy another radio, motor or boat Kristine wants another Greenhouse.
Those are fun too, this year we had eggplant, green peppers, lettuce, carrots and Tabasco peppers.
The Radio situation got resolved.
Thank everyone for their input.
