Futaba Radio for Gas Scale Hydro

Another question for the RC Hydro Vets, I am looking into getting a new Futaba Pistol style radio for my gas scale hydro. I was told that the gas engine would cause interference with my standard 2ch AM radio. What radio would be a good choice? Also want to purchase a failsafe unit. What is a good option for this as well? Thanks in advance!

I am using the same radio that Don mentions in my Bud T-6 gas scale. I kept my antennae within the cockpit. Big change from your old AM radio. The Futaba radio mentioned has a fail safe built into the system.
