Futaba 603FS Reciever voltage

Assembling the pieces for a Gas Scale boat. I want to get a 7.4 volt steering servo but will the higher voltage smoke my 603FS receiver? Called Futaba but no call back on this so far.

Yes, it is OK to run the receivers directly with a 2S lipo.

Perfectly fine. The receiver has built in regulation. I was told by Futaba it will actually accept up to 12 volt without issues. I would not try that but the 8.4 volt from fully charged LiPo is no problem whatsoever. What comes in is exactly what comes out so if the servo if fine with it you are good to go.
