flywheels on .18 aqua's

well now i remebered what flywheels were being used on the aqua'a,,,,,, but geeee,,, seems ive forgotten... my buddy asked the other day and i was absolutely speachless...lol...

anyway what o.s flywheels you guys using???? and how have they been....??? was it the #1E??? or #1D??? or?????

I liked the SV27 flywheel over the OS ones,smaller and lighter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

appriciate the feedback matt.... but my mod aqua's are a pita to get started off them flywheels... i also noticed the lighter flywheel makes the mod engines run kinda crappy on land... the heavier flywheel seems to keep things goin...lol...

I have checked a couple and found them out of round, I turned them on my lathe and the engine was smoother and was faster of the corners,it also helps allow the belt to come off after start up .. Just some input Dick :unsure: :unsure: :unsure: :unsure:

hey dick,,, are you speaking of the factory black aqua flywheels??? that is what i use almost all the time... but i know the o.s ones were perdy good... well i think...

Ive had a factory black one and a blue aftermarket both of which out of round. I broke a crank with blue one????????????? Could have been the 60% nitro also??????? :blink: :blink: :blink:

I have a O.S. flywheel i just found and measured it for you . It is 1.221 O.D +or- .001 in its stock form . The aqua i have in my Vegas is approx 1.080 or so . I have mocked up the O.S. on the Aqua .18 and in the Vegas not a Duce and it did not fit . Close but no cigar . LOL . The part number on the O.S. package is PN#71801050 and says (15cv-m,18cv-rm,rmx). Hope this helps .

every black aqu flywheel i own and have seen in person is out of round. the sv27 flywheel works great.
