flywheel help

ok... well i bought a new engine to play with but it has one of those stupid car cranks with the extra thing on the end.

does anyone know a flywheel that will easily fit?

I think the crank from the Hyper .21 will fit that motor. If you give me the stroke of the motor, the crankpin diamter, and the journal diameter ( I think it's 13mm) I'll be happy to verify this for you. If you put the standard crank in it you'll be able to use a standard collet and flywheel.

it took me a while to get it all figured out but it is or should be running on saturday. crazy slide carb an all!

it's a just for fun project really.... i sure aint going to huntsville anytime soon...

heck a nova rossi .21 is what $304.... this was only $164 almost 1/2 the price

Tom, the engine looks like a Picco. Similar to the one's that Ofna offers as mid pirced Ofna/Picco engines.

Ofna also came out with an over-bored Force 25 and 26 model. these engines are supposed to have better torque than the "legal" 21 models. So it probably translates well to rc boat use.

??? What fly wheel did you end up using? I'm interested in these inexpensive 1/8 engines with the pilot shaft design. You can get these .21 bad-boys for the same money as a race .12 engine.

FYI

I just got one of the first off-the shelf water cooled heads for my TRX2.5 -now I can get that second cowl designed for the cat project.

yea.... i believe it is identical to the ofna/picco .26 it is made by picco and they have identical specs posted

the flywheel is a modified OS .21 rzm flywheel

price $164 from Tower a tiny bit more than the ofna, but they are not in stock
