Hi All, Just put together my first mono hull: 40" A.C. with a CMB .80. Looking for some tips on pipe length and prop selection. Got two pipes- Macs 1369 and 1382. Was going to start out with a X455/3. I run @ 4200 ft. elevation. Like to hear your suggestions.
Thanks,
Glenn
new to monos myself but mine is a proven setup and i am running a 80 and a fat belly black cmb pipe at 11 inches, x462 prop as well, i can send you a extra pipe with the motor glenn if you want to give one a try..lmk
tk
Terry, Forgot to mention in first post-got two other pipes I can try also- a 90 size Irwin and a 67/90 Cooper on the way from Martin L..I may not have time to try all the pipes I have before the weather turns to crap here. Please send the motor to Steve Woods-gonna have him go thru a bunch of motors this winter. I'll let him know it's comming.
Thanks,
Glenn
Glenn,
First, your sending the motor to the right person, second, try the Cooper QHP pipe @ 11.5" with X457/3 or X460/3 and CMB fat belly pipe
about the same and shorten lenght on pipes as to performance. Not sure about 90 Irwin pipe , never tried one. I'm @ 1000' elev., your quite a
bit higher, not sure there.
