Why are you taking pot shots at our hull? No one from the JAE team has ever bragged on this hull or it's performance. The END USERS have just reported what they have found, oval records, big mph, easy launching, and great turning. We simply put a design outhere that is affordable ,available, and performs very well. Your is post is not proper. Maybe if people would post information, ideas and helpful hints, the sport would grow instead of die. Taking pot shots at a boat that is helping the nitro hydro classes grow, and reaching new boaters,is beyond my thought process.

Ron

When You Have The Boat To Beat, People are going to brag when the do.

I think that says alot.

I surely would not take it personal.

Good, Bad or Indifferent at least they are talking about JAE.

Getting back on topic Great Job to the Fire Fighters and Nova Rossi!

Figure that the JAE .21 is a relatively new kit and that out of all of the other 'riggers on the market that the Fire Fighters did a very good job in placing at their race, that's saying a lot.

Me, I can't get enough about the talk of the JAE's but I'm betting that there are a few that are getting tired of seeing all of the JAE threads.

Ron, I don't know exactly what your contribution was to the JAE kits but if you go through all of these threads you'll see just about every owner has had some input on theirs and where they've done things their way which is what I thought that the kit is about anyway. Maybe it should have been called the VolksRigger. :)

Congrats anyway to the owners of the Fire Fighters, Tom has to be lovin' it!

hmmmmmm wonder where all riggers came from.most are copies of a crapshooter or coyote or daytona.it it great that the jae's are affordable to all and keeping nitro/gas,boating..period in gereral alive and growing. when i first seen the JAP(unpolitically correct) built, the first thing i said was, these are VERY<VERY simallar the the jappanse boats the run over there, and if you really go back many years and know a very well know boater named"jim auguston"(fastest electric boats) almost 20 years ago, the jae has some of the same looks.ron do not take anything to heart about it,somebody was just happy to see Tom's boat(something other than JAE'S) having a great day.as long as everybody is having fun and ENJOYING MODEL BOATING,that's all that really matters.mike.

God Bryan you love to stir the pot...lol

guy's i came 2nd to my buddy Ian with my JAE, i wish i did not have such bad luck first to days... :( (pic shows my bad luck)

all in all we had a great weekend racing,

there where only about 9, 21 riggers entered,

4- -firefighters

2 --jae's

---sgx

---warlock

RON dont worry, there are more people building jae21's then i can count, :)

regards Aaron

Hopefully we can resume this battle for 3.5cc Hydro dominance at the Winter Spec in August. I'll be more prepared :p

Nitrocrazed and OzBryan were kicking butt most of the weekend. Well done & congrats guys.

Interesting to note that no-one has mentioned FF21's are also a KIT boat, so kit boats got 1st thru to 7th and that the fastest heat time was only 6 seconds of the fastest time of the event which was set by Wild Bill's awesome twin. Cheap, fast, competitive class!

Me smacking buoy 2 very hard and DNF'ing in the first round hurt my chances right from the very beginning. No broken boom tubes for me though :p A big thanks To Ken Retallick for doing some late night machining for me. It came in handy on Sundays choppy conditions and that heat win made my day! Forgetting to put fuel in the boat for the last heat was a bone head move on my part too!

LOL me stir the pot?? what are you talking about?? :p :p

Dont worry Aaron I wont let you pass me next time!

Lots of good racing on the weekend and lots of Novas running very well!

Well done guys.

And for those of you who decided to take this off subject it is not a JAE bashing thread.. its simply a thread about another boat, and the racing that took place on the weekend.

Yep, I've got a picture in a old magazine article of Jim holding his electric boats. Eagle SG's look almost just like them, but Jim's had no winglets on the back. But, keep in mind looks are very deceiving. Jeff L.

ron i was not trying to piss you or anyone else involved with your program... maybe could have went at it a different way.. just tired of hearing and seeing nothing but jae this and that on here, it seems everytime something new comes out and like that particular hull it was not even out before the end of the season , then the parade begins. and it is gonna dominate..all winter long i have seen guys talking smack about how fast they will be with this boat..well im here say you and i both know that they will stil have to drive them , and the ones that can will probably be very fast ..we will see what the summer brings good water to you and look forward to racing agianst you this year agian . and while i may have stepped on your toes... and for that i will say im sorry. but it was refreshing to see another boat get some press instead of the jae. thanks .

hey jeff, that is the beauty of model boating and all of the other hobbies that are out here for us to enjoy.i have some older pics from back in the day and something always looks like something, but like you said, looks can be very deciving and never judge a book by it's cover.i have said many times on the jae's build's that i applaud the guys that put so much work and testing into this boat that someone, someware is going to have a different opinion about it, or trying to make a great boat even better.i just had to comment when ron lost his cool about someone supposedly bashing the jae's,when it reall was just commenting about a brand of boat that happened to have a great weekend of "Toy boat racing".yes i love playing with all my toys too :D that's why boy's will never grow up! thank god some things never change. mikie.

The main plus of the JAE design for me and many others has nothing to do with it's speed or handling. It is the simple fact that it is designed to not need any adjustments to the strut or sponsons to run well. This advantage will bring more people into the rigger classes and the other riggers should be happy with that.

The FireFighters had a great result for the weekends racing! Well Done!!

In defense to the 2 JAE riggers, neither had actually been raced before the event. Both Aaron and i had a bad run! ( the JAE even run quite well with no right sponson!)

Aarons was clocked at 128Kph over the weekend. Mine was nowhere near as fast but still too fast for me, i need to get used to the insane cornering speeds they are capable of.

Ron,

I really think Bryan was just taking the piss mate, in reality if Aaron had not taken a big tumble down the back straight in practice (almost writing off his weekend), I think all in attendance would have to agree the results would be different.... It was some great driving by all competitors a good class to watch.

I think in the next 12 mths the .21 rigger class is going to offer up some great racing (not just in OZ) with the multitude of different hulls available, and as noted by Tim the "kit" boats grabbed all the top places.
