Put a support on that mixture needle pushrod . looks evil man .

Good thing we don't live closer or all my engines would have these cavernous carbs !! Let it eat Frankie !!

Have bin running the tygon for 2 years now no problems. the silicon swells up and pops at speed. also it stays on the fitting with no wire ties. makes it easy to pull on and off and not mess with the ties.

The flex push rod is nice and stiff. that is why I use the blue and red one.

Will never go back to steal push rods again on any boat.

I use a titanium tie rod for RC cars on the steering link also. Best setup I have found.

Ran the new setup today and it is not to much.

Broke my golden rule and made to many changes at once.

Put my high timed disk in the Eng but with the new opening in the case and back plate it was to much.

Also the higher ex timing did not help.

Had to make the pipe longer to compensate for the timing changes. It was hard to launch.

Got it set at 11" and it lit right off. the Reeves are higher and it pulls much harder in the corners.

Little hard to keep the needle good all thew the course as the disk is very high timed about 270 total open time. also the ex is at 190 now.

Still need to see if higher timing and a longer pipe is better than lower timing and a shorter pipe.

But it seams to pull harder in the corners with the longer pipe and high ex timing and rev higher.

The new pipe dose work better at letting the Eng over rev at the end of the shoot.

Will go back to a lower timed disk and give it a try next week.

It looks like the carb is the governor on this eng.

Will take some messing to get the tune right with the new bigger carb.

The new full complement ceramic bearing are working nice. 10 runs and feel like thy where not even run.

Buy now the standard WIS or Wicker bearing I would feel a little rumble in them.

And a round and a round we go.

David,

Looks nice all cleaned up.

How much propeller did it pull?

That is one Monster Carb!

Keep Testing,

Thanks Mark.

CRC Lectra-Motive dose wonders for clean up.

Get it by the case from work so I use it like water. :D

Dose not pull bigger props but the RPM's are better.

H50 seams to be the ticket for speed.

But the 1667v cut "bench mark" I have that you did is still the best handling prop in my box.

Just dose not have the killer top end.

Fitted a new piston to day as the old one has scratches from blow plugs and has lost its seal.

Also need a stock disk to get the timing back in line.

The bigger window messes big time with the rotor timing.

Will do the break in next weekend.

David Show you to picture of my Special Heat Solid OCT 2170 " Powerful Fastest " from Andy Brown says speed 100 to 125mph

Well have had some time to test the new carb and fuel system.

Found the 3/16 spray bar to big.
Put a piece of 5/32 OD .125 ID tube in the end of the spray bar sticking in the carb.
.125 seams to be the best bet.
The carb is a little big on the launch and till you get some heat in the eng you can not throttle.
But after a hot lap it is good to go.
Revs are the best I have seen with the 6.9 H50 and the new pipe set at 10.5"
It is a real monster.
Dropped the CR back to 9.2 as Dick suggested and the button comes back clean with 60% and over reved at the end of the shoot real nice.

Also tried a new chamber design on the button that works real nice.
Need to find a prop that gets thew the corners a little better and still has the top end punch.
Will V cut the SS H767 and give it a try next.
All I can say for those that thought it was fast at the last few showings.
YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is cranked up a notch.

I have a SG that is shorter if that will help with the thing a ma bob.

Or I can cut up my new boat to make it fit.

Any thing to help with a new prototype. :D

Ok, now measure from the back, (rear) boom tube to the center of the front engine mount bolt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Don't ask!

don't ask

OK I know better but I'll bite. 2" center of tube to center of bolt SGX , 2 1/4" SG
