Here are a few pics of my new carb and needle set up for my 1.01

Ready for the flow box to set the 3/16 spray bar.

The BV needle has bin modified to 3/16 tubing for better flow reaction.

Wholly shiznit batman, you gonna be able to cram a quart of fuel on that thing?

'Cause that's what you'll need! :)

Walt is building the new tank as we speak with a tepee on it and the 3/16 line.

You have to remember there is going to be a big 3/16 thing in the middle of the barrel to block some air flow.

So if you take that into consideration it is not that big.

When I find out how far I have to stick the 3/16 tube in the boar to get a good spray pattern. I will calculate the area of the boar.

I have a feeling it will only be about the same as a .625 boar.

also the needle is what will control fuel flow and I don't think it will be much more than what it is now.

The larger lines and hose will gust make it easer for the fuel to flow across the needle. Making the reaction better as the demand changes.

Think of it like sucking a milk shake thew a straw. If you use a small straw and suck just a little it is easy now try to suck harder. How quickly can you suck more?

It is not about how much as it is about how quick you can change the draw.

No more sucking the needle dry on a good run.

I should be able to hold a needle a little more on the edge with out taking a plug.

Well that is the plan will see if it works.

It is only big when you open the throttle.

The carb I have bin running is a modified CMB with a .510 X .710 boar with a 5/32 OD spray bar.

This carb works killer. can craw to the line like a gas mono and pop it right off.

The only reason to go bigger is to make room for the bigger spray bar.

It will probably come out to the same boar area as the old carb or maybe just a tad larger.

Idle and low speed have not bin effected by a larger carb.

Heck the dam thing is hard to shut down with the carb closed all the way.

There is more to it than just a big carb.

Believe me you can't just stick this set up on any 1.01 and have it work.

Awesome stuff Dave , I need two of those carbs right away !! LOL . the extra fuel load should keep her down a bit during the first 4 laps . Post results soon DR Frankensteinum !!!!

This is a wing it kinda thing .

Calipers in one hand and eng in the other.

Just measure and cut at will.

It is kinda like a artist looking at a slab of marble. ^_^

I hope to get it done here this week and test.

The boats will be put up here real soon. The house is sold and will be moving into a rental till the new house is built on Alligator lake.

But then I will have testing at the back door. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Fuel system mods are done.

New tank with 3/16 outlet and 5/32 inlet lines and a tepee 25+oz.

Also modded a fuel filter for the 3/16 lines.
