I may not be the best one to ask what a reasonable operating temperature is! :blink:

All joking aside, keep everything under 140F and you're in good shape. Definitely set the low voltage cutoff on the ESC for the proper cell count. It will save you in the long run.

Hi Zach,

Brian's 2S2P suggestion is a good one and would be the way I would go. Another softer setup I run in sport hydros the same size is a Nemesis 7L, 2S2P and a Hydra 120 speed control. On a cupped up X640 I get mid 40s for about 4 minutes. Temps are around 125 degrees on the motor and 110 on the speedo. The batteries "might" stay at 100 degrees.
