With blessings from the Oakland/Wolverine MBC who have run events at Thread Lake for nearly 40 years, a new club was formed to host IMPBA record trials in Flint, MI.
With charter members Mike Nowicki, Mark Stein, Mike Ross, Walt Radzinski, Randy Crum and myself we will continue to host events on our traditional dates of the 1st weekend in May and October.
At 2000' x 1000' Thread Lake is the largest IMPBA certified site for SAW and 1/3rd ovals, elevation is 750' asl. The lake is well sheltered and flat a high percentage of the time. We run from the west side at the north end of Orville St., SAW length shown for proportion.
