Every now and then, we find a cool new product out there that just makes sense.

These Elite Skinz Prop Covers fall into that category. We have started using them on all of our race boats during transport and storage to protect the props help prevent injury from brushing against sharper blades.

We started stocking them from
The manufacturer and they are now available on the website. Universal in design and fit, they work on the smallest props up to the largest gasoline sized props by using a heavy duty draw string and locking clasp. They are hand made in the US from a heavy canvas type fabric.

Here are a few pictures showing them on the StumpFAB Roadrunner .67 Twin Outrigger.

Interesting idea but why would you leave your props on during transport? When we raced the props were in the prop box when not in use.

Sure, nothing says you can’t take your props off, but after racing for the past 21 years in IMPBA, you’re the first person I’ve heard of that does it. This product wouldn’t be much use to you, but there are plenty (including myself) who leave them on. Even if they are only on at the races, the boats are usually on stands between rounds, etc. good to cover them then at least
