okay, I get it. The impact driver tightens enough to engage the collect and lock the flywheel into position.

What about removal? You use a spanner wrench?

Same as tightening
Just hold flywheel tight, impact is enough to break it loose.

Set the impact to reverse. And take off the collets the same way it was
Installed. No need for spanner wrenches.

Lol....all about 'good vibrations' in synergy with a bit of rotational force.
Quick tap of the trigger loosens/tightens props, too.
Been doing that for years with this lil' DeWalt impact gun.
