Guys,

Getting things ready for tomorrow. I received a set of SAW Sponsons for the 45 Eagle. The Fin is a .040 Stainless Knife Blade ( Sure hope my Wife doesn't miss it ) What do you guys think ? This is my next step before running without one.

Phil give a try to your fin..no problem...feel the boat and then if your confident go with no fin.Listen to Andy advices about throtling before enter turns...here's the big difference! Good boating Gill

Thanks Guys. I did a few test runs this am. The Sponsons and Fin worked great. The weather wasn't good, got windy so top speed runs were not possible. Maybe next weekend. Phil

Phil,

If you do run the fin, I don't think you want one with a curved leading edge like the one pictured. This will add lift to the sponson. Look for a knife with a square edge or less of a curve. Something like a pairing knife.
